The Kite Runner

In the novel The Kite Runner, you get to experience the nature of the Afghan people in their native ways, as well as  how they are willing to help others through the thick and thin. Hassan proves the type of loyalty and willingness to be a good person that all people should have! This book has taught me how to be a more aware and loyal to the  ones that I love.

To Read Or Not To Read?
i would recommend this book to any person who enjoys reading novels about a relate-able romance that also takes dramatic turns of events. my overall opinion was that it was a good book with a lot of familiar issues that occur in a teenagers daily life.

Pros:

  • Everything in the novel is very straightforward and the book is very easy to follow
  • The characters are very realistic, due to the fact that they experience many different emotions, and are very dynamic.
  • The plot is constantly changing, and keeps you guessing till the very end!
  • There is a sequel called "PS I Still Love You"
Cons:
  • At some moments in the book, i felt that the characters seemed a little boring
  • The book had as many "dry spots" as interesting spots
  • the topic of the novel remained the same throughout, so make sure you are interested in romance before you start to read it
